Google Pixel 2: With just a week to officially launch Google’s new line of Pixel smartphones, device specification information leaked and revealed important details that had already been speculated. The new Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL had their specifications confirmed by a source familiar with Google’s plans in the mobile market.
The Pixel 2 XL will feature a 6-inch curved screen with QHD resolution and a ratio that will be between 80% and 85%, following the trend of smartphones launched this year with more expanded screens and reduced edges. The new smartphone will come equipped with Snapdragon 835 processor, 4 GB of RAM and will have internal storage options of 64 GB and 128 GB. In addition, the Pixel 2 XL will come with stereo speakers, a 3.520 mAh battery, dual rear camera and will not feature 3.5mm input for headphones.
The younger brother, Pixel 2, will basically have the same specifications as the Pixel 2 XL. Among the differences are the 5-inch screen with Full HD resolution and 2,700 mAh battery. The design should also have small differences between the two devices. But both the Pixel 2 and the Pixel 2 XL will feature tight edges and a new Pixel Launcher developed by Google.
Other details include resistance to dust and water and Gorilla Glass 5 protection technology. The gadgets will come equipped with Android O factory and will feature Google Imaging Chip and optical image stabilization. By the way, the first generation of Google Pixel has brought excellent image quality in videos and photos due to its powerful camera, something that many are expecting to repeat in the second generation.
